Manage team zones in your organization
Departments may span across multiple zones, floors, or even locations. Some teams might only need their designated space during certain periods, and you may want to make that space available to others without limiting access for the team it belongs to. This is where the Team Zones feature becomes valuable.
Team Zones enable you to assign specific office zones to a team, granting them priority when booking desks. Team members can reserve desks in their designated zone as usual, while other users will be notified that they are attempting to book in a restricted area. However, non-team members can still proceed with their reservation after acknowledging the warning.

Only Organization Managers can create and modify Team Zones. Additional settings for Team Zones can be customized per location by both Organization Managers and Location Managers with Control Center access.
Creating a new Team Zone
To create a new Team Zone, navigate to the Team Zones tab in the Organization overview and click the "Add team zone" button, then enter the desired team name (e.g., "Marketing") into the Name field, then click “Create” to finalize. The new team will now be listed under Team Zones. The team zone is not immediately active after it has been created, so it can be activated in the next step.
Activating a Team Zone
To activate a Team Zone, click on the three dots next to the Team Zone and select "Activate Team Zone". After this, confirm the activation by clicking "Confirm". Once activated, the Team Zone will be marked as Active and users will be able to add themselves to the zone.
Converting into a restricted team zone
To convert a Team Zone into a Restricted Team Zone, click on the “three dots” next to the Team Zone, then select "Convert to Restricted Team Zone" and confirm the change by clicking "Confirm". Once converted, the Team Zone will be marked as Restricted.
When a Team Zone is Restricted, only members of that Team Zone will have default access to book desks there. Other users will always see a warning message if they attempt to reserve a workspace in the restricted zone. Additionally, restricted Team Zones are no longer released at the end of the day as per the location's set end time.
Managing connected zones
The Number of Connected Zones section displays the zones that are currently assigned to a specific Team Zone.
To manage these connected zones, click on the “three dots” next to the Team Zone and select "Manage connected zones". From there, you can either remove a zone by clicking on the bin icon or add a new zone by selecting "Connect a zone". This allows you to keep the Team Zone updated with the appropriate zones.
Deleting a Team Zone
To delete a Team Zone, ensure that it has no connected zones. Once there are no connected zones, tap on the “three dots” next to the Team Zone you wish to delete and select "Delete Team Zone". Click “Delete” to finalize your action. The option to delete will only be available when the Team Zone is not linked to any zones.
