How to swap/replace a device

If you happen to have an Office Dot that is misconfigured or malfunctioning, and you've tried everything to fix it, there may be no other way than to swap it with a new one. It would be a hassle to re-configure the Office Dot exactly like the old one was. This is where we use the "Replace Device" function of the setup app.

The process is simple and go as follows:

  1. Make sure the old Office Dot is properly powered on. The new Office Dot should not yet be powered up. In the case of desk-identifiers/NFC-stickers this does not apply.

  2. Click on "Replace Device".

  3. Scan the old Office Dot (to be replaced) so that its icon appears.

  4. Scan the new Office Dot so that its icon appears.

  5. Tap on the Replace to execute the swap.

  6. Now unplug the old device and power up the new device.
